Our
Concept

At Svadhyalaya, we believe in understanding the fundamental nature of the human body and emotions. In today’s world, we are constantly influenced by our surroundings, which can be both positive and negative. These influences create stories and memories within us, leading to emotional instability in our daily lives.

To achieve stability, we need practices that help us balance our emotions and understand our true nature. By observing and reflecting, we can attain a stable state of mind. This journey begins with Sankalpa (intention) and is followed by Sadhana (practice). Through dedicated practice, we reach a state of Sthiram (stability).

When we achieve Sthiram, our individual journey of self-discovery begins. This experience is unique and profound for each person. Our courses are designed to guide you towards this state of stability, to help you understand your true nature.

The basic values of our yoga Studio: People learn yoga for various reasons. Some are drawn to it for its physical benefits, such as improved flexibility, strength, and balance. Others seek the mental and emotional benefits yoga offers, like stress reduction, improved focus, and a sense of peace.

Practicing Patanjali’s yoga, often referred to as Ashtanga or eight-limbed yoga, can lead to a deep understanding of the self and the universe. It’s a holistic practice that includes ethical guidelines, physical postures, breath control, concentration, and meditation.

You don’t necessarily have to come to Rishikesh to do a practice. There are many places around the world where you can learn and practice yoga. However, Rishikesh, often called the “Yoga Capital of the World”, holds a special place in the hearts of yogis. It’s a place where ancient yogis have devoted their lives to yoga practice and have achieved profound wisdom and spiritual insight. By coming to Rishikesh, you’re following in their footsteps and immersing yourself in the same spiritual energy that has guided their journeys.

Yoga is about working towards inner peace. You can certainly practice yoga at home, in your room, sitting calmly with your eyes closed. But in today’s society, we are often influenced by various external factors from childhood. Therefore, having guidance and a supportive system can be beneficial for our inner peace.

The goal of our yoga studio is to provide that guidance and support. We aim to understand human evolution and support the future rise of humanity. Whether you’re economically backward or financially affluent, our mission is to provide resources and opportunities to those who value them. We believe in supporting individuals who view and treat everything in life as equal in nature. This is the guiding principle of our yoga studio.
